About Me

I am currently in my sixth and final year of training at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC) pursuing an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.

As part of my training I have worked as a counsellor at The Swan Project, a Bristol based charity providing long term therapy to individuals struggling with an active addiction, to those in recovery or otherwise affected by addiction in the family. My work there was predominantly supporting people with the underlying issues of addiction such as anxiety, anger, depression, adverse childhood experiences or other experiences of trauma.

During my training I have also been running a private practice where I’ve seen clients from all walks of life. Previous experiences also include volunteering many years for Mind in Bristol offering mental health support to service users as well as providing supervision to other volunteers.

Before training in psychotherapy I worked in the corporate world in London. I was originally born and grew up in Sweden which has made me particularly interested in our sense of belonging and feelings of otherness. I’ve now been settled in Bristol for over ten years, doing what I love - helping people make more sense of their lives and become more resilient.

I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and BCPC and abide by their ethical and professional guidelines. I receive regular supervision and am committed to ongoing professional development.
